Adult Counselling Therapy

Counselling for adults. Life can feel overwhelming at times. Perhaps you've found yourself in a difficult situation, struggling to enjoy life and relationships. I can offer a space to share, explore, unpack, and heal through counselling for adults. 

I am experienced in working with several presentations and specialize in: 

• Bereavement, loss, and trauma 

• Anxiety and depression 

• Anger 

• Low self-esteem 

My Approach 

I provide a safe, confidential space where you can talk freely without judgment. I work experientially, consciously feeling how it might feel to be in your situation, so our sessions are grounded in empathy and understanding. I also explore all aspects of your lived experience, helping to provide meaning and validation to your difficulties, while promoting positive change. 

My goal is to listen, support, and empower you, helping you make sense of your experiences, find relief from emotional pain, and increase self-awareness. I utilize trauma therapy approaches, including the REWIND technique, to help you effectively navigate your challenges. 

I am a neurodivergent affirming therapist 💛, understanding the importance of individual differences, exploring difficulties while also focusing on strengths. 

Session Delivery 

Sessions can be delivered via secure video link, allowing you to access therapy from the comfort of your own space. If preferred, sessions can also take place over the telephone. This flexibility makes it easier to access support in a way that suits you. 

Sessions are also available face to face at my welcoming room in Wigan Town Centre. The room is easily accessible via public transport, and there is plenty of parking around the town centre. The building itself does not have its own parking, as is common with most offices in the heart of a town centre. 

Fees 

Adult counselling sessions, including single session therapy and the REWIND technique for trauma, have now all been set to the same rate of £50. A reduced rate of £35 is available for those in receipt of benefits, pension, or for students.
